Product Details

Maintain the clinical precision and therapeutic power of your Radial Pressure Wave system with this replacement Tube Set, specifically engineered for the RPW Lite. The internal guide tube is the heart of your handpiece’s projectile mechanism, and its condition directly dictates the quality of the acoustic wave delivered to the patient. Over millions of pulses, friction and impact naturally degrade the tube's interior surface, leading to energy loss and inconsistent shockwave generation. This replacement set allows practitioners to restore their device to factory-standard performance without the need for a full handpiece replacement. By proactively swapping out worn components, you ensure that every treatment session delivers the intended energy density, maximizing clinical outcomes for soft tissue rehabilitation. This pack serves as an essential maintenance kit, safeguarding your investment and preventing unexpected downtime in your practice.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Restored Energy Transfer: A fresh guide tube eliminates the friction caused by internal wear, ensuring that the full kinetic energy of the projectile is transferred into therapeutic shockwaves rather than being absorbed by the handpiece.
  • Consistent Therapeutic Output: New tubes stabilize the movement of the projectile, resulting in a reliable frequency and pressure output that allows for precise adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Extended Device Longevity: Regular replacement of the tube protects the surrounding components of the handpiece from excessive vibration and damage associated with a compromised guide mechanism.
  • Cost-Effective Maintenance: This set contains three individual tubes, providing a long-term supply of consumables that lowers the operational cost per treatment compared to replacing entire applicators.
  • OEM Compatibility: Manufactured to the exact specifications of the RPW Lite, these tubes ensure a perfect fit, maintaining the pneumatic seal and safety of the device.

Indications for Use

The RPW Lite system, when maintained with this Tube Set, is indicated for the non-invasive treatment of chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions. The therapy utilizes acoustic waves to stimulate metabolic activity, reduce pain, and accelerate the healing process in soft tissue. Common clinical indications include:

  • Tendinopathies: Treatment of chronic conditions such as Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee), and lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow).
  • Fasciitis: Management of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs.
  • Calcifications: Disruption of calcific deposits, particularly in the shoulder (calcific tendonitis).
  • Myofascial Pain: Treatment of trigger points and muscle tightness in the back, glutes, and extremities.
  • Tube Replacement Indication: The tube itself is indicated for replacement when the handpiece exhibits a significant drop in power, irregular impact sounds, or when the device reaches the manufacturer's recommended shock count threshold.

Treatment and Maintenance Guidelines

To ensure safety and efficacy when using the RPW Lite Tube Set, adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Replacement Protocol: Monitor the total shock count of your handpiece. While wear varies based on pressure settings used, it is generally recommended to replace the tube and projectile simultaneously to ensure even wear patterns.
  • Installation: Ensure the handpiece is disconnected from the air supply before servicing. Remove the applicator head, extract the old tube, and insert the new tube firmly until seated. Ensure no debris enters the chamber during the swap.
  • Coupling Media: During patient treatment, always use an adequate amount of ultrasound transmission gel between the applicator head and the skin. This ensures the acoustic waves generated through the tube are efficiently conducted into the tissue without energy loss at the skin interface.
  • Patient Feedback: Use patient feedback as a diagnostic tool for your equipment. If a patient familiar with the therapy reports that the sensation feels "weaker" than previous sessions despite identical settings, inspect the tube for internal scoring or wear immediately.
