Product Details

Enhance the safety and comfort of your traction therapy sessions with the Patient Interrupt Switch designed for Tru-Trac systems. This essential accessory provides a critical link between the patient and the therapeutic device, granting individuals immediate control over their treatment environment. By holding this switch, patients can relax more deeply, knowing they have the power to halt the traction force instantly should they experience discomfort, anxiety, or a sudden muscle spasm. This improved sense of security often leads to better patient compliance and more effective decompression outcomes.

The switch is engineered to be intuitive and highly responsive, ensuring that the machine disengages the moment the button is depressed. Its robust design is built to withstand the demands of a busy clinical environment, providing reliable performance treatment after treatment.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Instant Safety Stop: Automatically releases traction force immediately upon activation, preventing potential injury or exacerbation of symptoms during therapy.
  • Patient Empowerment: Reduces procedure anxiety by giving the patient physical control over the machine, fostering a sense of safety and trust during cervical or lumbar traction.
  • Ergonomic Handling: Designed with a comfortable grip and an easily accessible button, accommodating patients with varying levels of hand strength or dexterity.
  • Extended Reach: Features a durable, coiled cord that allows the patient to rest comfortably in various positions without tension on the connection, ensuring the switch is always within reach.
  • Plug-and-Play Integration: Manufactured specifically for seamless compatibility with Tru-Trac traction units, ensuring a secure connection without the need for complex setup or adapters.

Indication of Use

The Patient Interrupt Switch is indicated for use during mechanical traction therapy (decompression) for the spine. It is designed to be held by the patient throughout the duration of the treatment. The device is essential for:

  • Patients undergoing cervical or lumbar traction who require a fail-safe mechanism to stop treatment.
  • Clinical settings where patient safety protocols mandate a user-controlled emergency stop function.
  • Situations where patient communication may be limited, requiring a physical signaling device to cease machine operation.

Benefits of Mechanical Traction Therapy

Mechanical traction therapy, also known as spinal decompression, is a popular treatment option for patients with back and neck pain. It works by gently stretching the spine to relieve pressure on the discs and nerves, helping to reduce pain and improve mobility. The use of a traction device has several benefits that make it a valuable tool in the treatment of spinal conditions.

Non-Invasive Treatment Option:

  • One of the greatest advantages of mechanical traction therapy is that it is a non-invasive treatment option. This means that it does not involve any surgical procedures or injections, making it an attractive choice for patients who are seeking relief from pain without invasive measures.
