Product Details

Enhance your clinical capabilities with the EMG Module designed specifically for the Triton DTS system. This targeted biofeedback accessory integrates seamlessly with your existing decompression setup, providing real-time data that empowers both the therapist and the patient. By monitoring muscle activity during treatment, you can ensure the effectiveness of spinal decompression therapy while guarding against reactive muscle guarding.

This module turns standard traction therapy into an interactive, data-driven experience. It detects electromyographic signals to gauge patient relaxation and muscle tension, allowing the Triton DTS system to initiate pulls only when the patient is sufficiently relaxed. This responsive approach maximizes the therapeutic benefits of decompression and improves patient comfort throughout the session.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Real-Time Biofeedback: Displays immediate visual and auditory feedback on muscle tension, helping patients understand their body's responses and learn to relax more effectively.
  • Targeted Muscle Guarding Prevention: The system is designed to pause or delay traction forces if it detects a spike in muscle activity, preventing pain and potential injury caused by guarding.
  • Seamless Integration: Connects directly to the Triton DTS unit without the need for complex external software or cumbersome setups.
  • Customizable Thresholds: Allows clinicians to set specific relaxation targets based on individual patient needs and progression levels.
  • Enhanced Patient Engagement: Involving the patient in the relaxation process fosters a sense of control and active participation in their own recovery journey. This can lead to increased patient satisfaction and compliance with treatment plans.
  • Versatile Application: In addition to treating low back pain, the Triton DTS Decompression System can also be used for other conditions such as sciatica, herniated discs, and degenerative disc disease. This versatility makes it a valuable tool for any clinic looking to expand their treatment options.
  • Evidence-Based Treatment: The efficacy of spinal decompression has been supported by numerous studies and clinical trials. The use of the Triton DTS system provides clinicians with a proven treatment modality backed by scientific research.

Indications for Use

  • Relaxation Training: Assists patients in learning how to voluntarily reduce muscle tension before mechanical traction begins.
  • Muscle Re-education: Provides biofeedback to help re-establish normal muscle function and coordination.
  • Pain Management: Supports the reduction of pain associated with muscle tension and spasms during therapy.
  • Assessment of Muscle Activity: Allows for the continuous monitoring of muscle resting states to determine readiness for decompression therapy.
  • Patient Education: Educates patients on proper body mechanics and postural alignment to reduce the risk of future spinal issues.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitors patient progress during decompression therapy, providing valuable feedback for therapists and patients.

Specifications

  • Compatibility: Designed exclusively for use with the Chattanooga Triton DTS Traction System.
  • Measurement Range: High-sensitivity sensors capable of detecting subtle changes in muscle potential (measured in microvolts).
  • Feedback Type: Provides both visual and auditory biofeedback options to assist patient relaxation.
  • Safety Features: Automatic traction interlock based on preset EMG thresholds.
  • Ease of Use: Intuitive interface and simple set-up make it easy for healthcare professionals to use with minimal training.
